Typical Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Program Growth

    • Design and lead strategic initiatives to scale each program’s reach across all regions of Virginia, especially targeting underrepresented communities and underserved school divisions.

    • Collaborate with senior leadership to set statewide participation goals and identify barriers to access, then implement solutions through policy, outreach, or program design.

    • Use data and educator feedback to inform strategic decisions and continuously improve program effectiveness and equity of access.

    • Align each program’s growth strategy with VCEE’s organizational priorities, funding opportunities, and the broader landscape of K-12 education in Virginia.

  • Professional Development & Educator Support

    • Work alongside the Sr. Director of Professional Development to develop and deliver dynamic professional learning experiences to help teachers implement programs effectively.
    • Coach and support educators before, during, and after program implementation, both in-person and virtually.
    • Ensure all program materials are educator-friendly, standards-aligned, and engaging for diverse learners.

  • Project Management

    • Oversee the full lifecycle of each program-from recruitment through execution and evaluation.
    • Manage timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery.
    • Analyze data and generate reports to assess program impact and recommend improvements.
    • Develop efficient systems and processes for tracking participation and managing communications.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Outreach

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for teachers, school divisions, regional university-based Centers for Economic Education, and program partners.
    • Strategically grow participation across the state, with a focus on underrepresented schools and communities.
    • Represent VCEE at conferences, school events, and professional association meetings.

  • Work on special projects and initiatives as needed to support the School of Business
