Job Description:
General Description: Reporting to the Director of Dual Enrollment, Outreach & Recruitment, this position provides leadership and operational support for the college’s Dual Enrollment (DE) faculty. The DE Faculty Coordinator reviews, evaluates, enforces, and establishes appropriate policies and procedures that ensure high quality and accredited Dual Enrollment programming within area high schools. A successful candidate will be comfortable reviewing, analyzing, applying, and educating others about policies from multiple agencies and governing bodies, to include NOVA, the VCCS, NACEP, and SACS-COC, as it relates to credentialing, onboarding, professional development, and mentorship. The Dual Enrollment Faculty Coordinator will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining meaningful connections between DE faculty, DE faculty liaisons, and the college at large.

Additionally, the Dual Enrollment Faculty Coordinator will assist with the oversight of Dual Enrollment faculty in academic disciplines when necessary, ensuring alignment with college standards and supporting discipline-specific needs in collaboration with academic leadership.

Duties and Tasks:
  • Coordinate hiring, training, and evaluation of all new and returning dual enrollment faculty in conjunction with Dual Enrollment Coordinator(s), Academic Division offices, and Human Resources.
  • Oversight of NOVA High School Faculty and Administrator manual and NOVA DE Administrator manual, ensuring policies are up to date.
  • Coordinate robust, annual professional development programming for all dual enrollment faculty; provide certificate of completion to all attendees; coordinate with high school districts on scheduling.
  • Collaborate with NOVA’s Division Deans and Department Chairs, NOVA’s HR, as well as High School Districts regarding the credentialing process for DE faculty.
  • Ensure timely and accurate grade reporting through coordination with the DE team, DE faculty, and high school partners.
  • Design, implement, and continue to maintain a comprehensive, web-based orientation and resources for DE faculty via SharePoint, DE website, and DE Faculty Canvas site.
  • Utilize DualEnroll and other systems to track accurate DE faculty data (e.g. total number of faculty, breakdown by discipline, NACEP tracking, syllabus collection, etc.) and provide regular reports.
  • Conduct semi-monthly meetings of faculty liaisons (check-ins) and open office hours for DE faculty.
  • Assist with compliance for SACSCOC and NACEP-related accreditation standards and ensure action items for DE faculty and DE faculty liaisons are being adhered to.
  • Manage the credentialing appeals process to ensure all parties are responding in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with territory coordinators, academic divisions, and human resources to identify credentialing requirements for new dual enrollment courses.
  • Connect high school faculty with the college by advertising college resources, programming, and facilities.

Employees must reside in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia.

Required qualifications
  • Master's degree in education or in a field appropriately related to the position. Qualifying degree must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience working in education, counseling, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a high school or college environment.
  • Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office software.
