Job Duties

Position assists in the Department’s EEO complaint process and provides guidance and advice to Departmental managers and staff regarding EEO complaint matters.

This is a wage position limited to working no more than 1,500 hours per agency during the 12 month period of May 1 – April 30, regardless of the hire date. The wage employment period resets on May 1 of the following year. All wage employees are limited to working no more than 29 hours per week on average over the 12-month period. This wage position offers no state benefits.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Working knowledge of principles and practices of EEO administration and applicable State and Federal laws and regulations. Demonstrated ability and experience in conducting investigations and interviewing all levels of personnel within an organization. Demonstrated ability in effectively communicating with all levels of personnel within the organization. Demonstrated ability and experience in analyzing data and presenting sound recommendations to EEO Unit supervision. Demonstrated ability and experience in effectively writing investigative reports. Must have proficient experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.

This position requires statewide travel with occasional overnight stays.

Additional Considerations

Advanced knowledge or course work related to the positions core responsibilities, or equivalent related combination of training and experience. Experience conducting human resources/EEO related investigations is preferred.
