Job Duties

Central State Hospital is currently recruiting for an Equipment Repair Lead Technician to perform regularly scheduled maintenance and mechanical repairs to all types of motorized vehicles and equipment for CSH and HWDMC to ensure dependability, safety and to maximize useful service life.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of diagnostic tools and troubleshooting processes, repair techniques, and procedures as related to the work required for a wide variety of motorized vehicles and equipment.
Use of computer based diagnostic and testing equipment.
Competency in all types of safety working practices and PPE.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability to use all types of hand tools, power tools, vehicle lifts and safety equipment required to perform a wide variety of maintenance and repairs as required in this position.
Must demonstrate comprehensive understanding and technical proficiency in work performed including the use of technical information and repair manuals/data sources required to perform job functions.
Ability to perform heavy manual labor as needed for repair of vehicles.
Experience as a Lead mechanic in the supervision of others performing this work.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Valid Virginia Driver’s License required.

Additional Considerations

Documented equipment repair training.
Work experience in the maintenance and repair of motorized vehicles and equipment.
Use of computerized maintenance software preferred.
