Job Duties
Provides executive level administrative support to the Warden at a major facility. Interacts with an array of executive level managers, public officials and employees. Handles incoming inquiries from inmates, staff, and the general public. Responsible for collecting, coordinating and disseminating information, tasks, and correspondence. Provides back-up support to other administrative staff.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Recent experience providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting including data entry, filing and preparing correspondence. Recent experience using office equipment (i.e. computers, printers, copier and fax machine). Experience taking minutes and composing professional correspondence.
Considerable knowledge of office practices, procedures, and office equipment. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel to accomplish office support requirements. Demonstrated skill in inputting data into an automated database other than Microsoft Office. Ability to organize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner. Skilled in communicating with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.
Additional Considerations
Knowledge of office administration or equivalent training or experience in a related field. Extensive administrative experience working with senior level management. Working knowledge of a multi-line communication system. Skill in the use of Outlook, Access, Power Point and Publisher.
