The University of Virginia, Facilities Management, is seeking a Facilities Services Representative. Facilities Management (FM) supports the University of Virginia's wide range of research, academic and patient care programs. With over 1,200 employees dedicated to excellence, Facilities Management is responsible for the day-to-day operation, repair, and maintenance of UVA's buildings, infrastructure and grounds as well as other University-owned and leased properties.

Position Summary :

The Facilities Services Representative swiftly categorizes, authorizes, and assigns for execution of a high volume of facilities service requests and provides administrative and business support to the hundreds of employees that are the Facilities Management's Operations, Utilities, and Program and Informatics Departments. The incumbent provides exceptional customer service for customers throughout the University and the University’s hospital and advanced administrative support.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Up to 4 years of Customer service and communication experience in a demanding and fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Considerable experience in customer service or answering phones in a call center.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Knowledge of and experience utilizing typical spread sheet, desk top publishing, and word data applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data system utilization.
  • Ability to interact positively with a variety of entities, in a large complex organization.
  • Well-developed ability to work independently and efficiently and as a team member.
  • Excellent knowledge of grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to discern confidentiality of material.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, complete multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work during inclement weather, emergencies, weekends, and some holidays, and after normal work hours as needed to support essential functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Desk Top Publishing Programs.
  • Good understanding of relational databases.


Compensation:

The Anticipated Hiring Range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour ($37,440 - $43,680 Annually) . This is a full-time position with UVA benefits . Employee benefits package highlights include:
