Job Duties

To provide fiscal support to accurately and efficiently record and balance all financial activities; to ensure proper case management procedures are followed; to review, analyze, and process a range of data and reports in accordance with Department of Corrections (DOC) and Department of Accounts (DOA) policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in an accounting/bookkeeping setting performing detailed work with numerical data and mathematical calculations. Recent experience using basic office equipment including the operation of a 10-key calculator. Recent working knowledge of office procedures, data entry, and record maintenance. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets. Skilled in effective interpersonal and written communication. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidelines.

Additional Considerations

Additional knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping or equivalent training and experience. Advanced knowledge of Commonwealth Financial Programs including CARDINAL, FAACS, Offender Trust, and Offender Pay. Knowledge of Commonwealth travel policies and supervisory experience.
