Job Duties
The Facilitator assumes leadership role on his/her weekend rotation. Responsibilities: Communicate effectively with all departments; ensure all assigned staff are on-duty, complete tardy/absent report, adjust staffing due to call-outs; make rounds to observe housekeeping conditions; respond to all radio calls. Complete assigned reports (e.g. rounds, accident reports) and forward to supervisor. Reach out to Supervisor On Call for support as needed.
Perform laundry services: Linen inventory and delivery to units; washing, drying and storing cleaning cloths; manage clothing room.
Assist in storing/releasing resident belongings and completing related paperwork.
Familiar with all housekeeping equipment and processed in order to assist and problem solve arising issues.
Keeps assigned space in a clean, orderly manner. Equipment utilized is cleaned after each use, and properly stored. Equipment malfunctions and repair needs are brought to Supervisors’ attention.
Applies appropriate skills, cleaning techniques, procedures and effective use of equipment and products to a wide range of surfaces, while engaged in stripping and refinishing floors, burnishing and buffing floors, shampooing carpets and upholstery; in addition to sweeping, dust mopping, damp/wet mopping, dusting, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming and waste removal. Replenishment of supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand soaps, deodorants, cleans up of body fluids and body waste.
Assignments may include working off 6 foot ladders and the use of simple hand tools while exchanging window drapes, curtains, venetian blinds, cubical curtains, shower curtains, and washing glass, walls, and ceiling vents.
Performs all functions of job by adhering to department and facility policies and procedures.
Maintains records/reports/data associated with routine and non-routine floor, carpet and other furnishings maintenance schedules. Information gathered will reflect frequency of accomplished activities and productivity requirements.
Performs other duties as may be assigned that are within Environmental Services’ mission and as situations warrant in meeting the overall needs of the facility.
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Minimum Qualifications
Some knowledge in the use of cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, buffers, and other cleaning equipment.

High School Diploma desired.
