Join the Virginia Tax team as a Forms Design Analyst!
Are you passionate about combining creativity with precision? The Virginia Department of Taxation is seeking a talented Forms Design Analyst to play a key role in shaping the tax forms and documents that millions of Virginians rely on. In this dynamic position, you’ll use your graphic design expertise and keen eye for detail to create clear, accurate, and user-friendly forms and instructions that reduce taxpayer errors and meet legislative, business, and system requirements.
You will play an important role in the agency and to taxpayers by creating visually appealing, user-friendly tax forms and related documents, and maintain and update forms each year to reflect legislative changes to ensure clarity and consistency across all versions.
The position is located at our Main Street Center location in Richmond, Virginia.
The schedule is hybrid with 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 2 telework days on Monday and Friday.
The anticipated hiring salary is commensurate with experience up to $60,000.

Minimum Qualifications
Considerable experience using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office (or similar) software to develop complex documents
Demonstrated experience in graphic design, developing forms and/or instructional material
Experience working independently and in a team environment
Experience communicating complex issues in written formats
Ability to conduct independent research, analysis, and effectively summarize findings in talking point formats and/or visual formats such as charts, diagrams, tables, etc.
Additional Considerations
Experience working with diverse stakeholders
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax principles and policies
