Within the context of GENEDGE strategies and with a high degree of autonomy, the Regional Growth Manager (RGM) works with the owners/senior executives of manufacturing, engineering, and technology companies across the Central/Northern VA region as well as with a variety of public and private sector stakeholders. The RGM has an entrepreneurial spirit, building and managing his/her client base with the drive of a true business owner. RGMs build trusted advisor relationships with their client base, helping them solve problems through defined, high impact projects. Typically, project services are provided by a team consisting of consultant(s) that drive solutions for the client, with project oversight from the RGM.
The selected finalist will enjoy highly competitive compensation (hiring range $95,440 to $143,160), a fully comprehensive Commonwealth of Virginia benefits package, and a hybrid in-office/remote work environment with equipment at home provided by GENEDGE. This RGM position is based in the Fredericksburg, VA area. The region consists of: Cities – Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Manassas Park Counties – Arlington, Caroline, Essex, Fairfax, Gloucester, King and Queen, King George, King William, Lancaster, Loudon, Mathews, Middlesex, Northumberland, Prince William, Richmond, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Westmoreland
Responsibilities • The primary responsibility is to develop new and cultivate ongoing GENEDGE client relationships to provide high impact contracted services using a trusted advisor approach. • The secondary responsibility is to proactively manage the implementation, and execution of those services using GENEDGE contracted services. • The third responsibility is to ensure billings are initiated at defined project stages. • The fourth responsibility is the reporting of client project outcomes (IMPACT) to GENEDGE and investors. Expectations • Discuss strategies and develop proposals with teammates and leaders to deliver the best solutions for the projects. • Network with clients, partners, and referral sources to build relationships and sustain them. • Deliver presentations and workshops to develop and inform stakeholders, leads and prospects. • Account for time and deliverables. • Support administrative requirements to assure proper project management and closure. • Remain current with client services. • Develop understanding of new client needs that may require new services to fulfill. • At times, may manage programs with regional or statewide service delivery as opportunities warrant.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Required Skills, Abilities, Knowledge, and Specifications: • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Must be confident, outgoing, and adaptable to change. • Must have efficient project management capabilities combined with strong interpersonal skills. • Must be versatile and deal with clients from various walks of life, including owner / operators and mid-level leaders of small and mid-sized companies. • Knowledgeable about computers, web conferencing, cloud computing, and follow the latest in technology. • Must be able to handle stress, work well under pressure, and work extended hours as necessary for success. • Highly effective presentation skills. • Selected finalist must pass a criminal records background check and must also currently possess, or be able to obtain, a Department of Defense secret security clearance. • The position requires very significant in region travel and some overnight travel, typically within Virginia. • Selected finalist will be required to comply with all relevant state and federal COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
Required Minimum Education and Qualifications: • A BS degree in business, engineering or a scientific discipline or equivalent training and/or experience • Progressive success in business development / sales in a consulting, economic development, manufacturing and/or technology environment • At least 5 years previous consulting or direct customer facing field experience or equivalent.

Preferred:
• A working knowledge of key service areas such as strategic planning, product development, financial analysis/cost accounting, industrial marketing/sales, supply chain/logistics/purchasing, continuous improvement, quality systems, organizational development, or operations. • Master’s degree or equivalent • Professional certification such as in Continuous Process Improvement, Quality Management, Financial Planning and Analysis, Consulting, etc.
