GME Education Specialist

GME Education Specialist provides administrative project management and accreditation support to UVA’s GME enterprise. Responsibilities include support of program’s compliance with accreditation and policy requirements and oversight of GME learning activities. Collaborates with GME leadership to develop and implement GME policies and procedures.

• Responsible for serving as administrative contact at the institution with the ACGME, GME Education Specialist.
• Administrative responsibility for ERAS and NRMP.
• Broad knowledge of Medical Education continuum to include NRMP Match Guidelines Serve as a Medical Center Manager.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
  

Position Compensation Range: $63,939.20 - $102,294.40 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree required Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in Graduate Medical Education strongly preferred or equivalent experience in health care education or residency program coordination at an academic teaching hospital.
Licensure: None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
