Job Description:

Provides first level (Tier I) helpdesk support to college faculty, staff, and students who contact the Technology Services helpdesk. This technician is responsible for handling daily support requests at their assigned work location, as well as providing additional support to all other campus locations as needed. Responsible for maintaining the College's computers and associated peripheral equipment by performing preventive maintenance and repairs to other electronic office and classroom equipment. This equipment includes network components, computers, servers, audio-visual, video conference equipment, telephones, printers, and other classroom electronics. Specialize in the physical installation and integration of server racks, A/V equipment (to include mounting), A/V furniture and cabinets, A/V cabling, physical networking links, network equipment.
Work Schedule and On-site Requirement
Tuesday-Friday 9:30 am - 7:30 pm. This position requires on-site presence, and does not have telework options.

- Demonstrated experience providing high-quality customer service.
- Demonstrated experience providing direct customer service required.
- Use and configure computing devices (Laptops, tablets, cell phones, etc.).
- Software installation and configuration.
- Beginner knowledge of various OS’s including Windows 10, MacOS, and iOS required.
- Beginner networking knowledge including LAN, WAN, and wireless configuration, primarily for endpoint support.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently, as well as part of a larger team.
- CompTIA A+
- Proven subject matter knowledge, which may be evidenced by training, experience, and/or credentials.
- Ability to regularly work on site at various college locations including travel between, and the transport of equipment and resources between various locations.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to scale ladders.
- Ability to make decisions with sound judgment, based on expertise and experience.
- Ability to ensure compliance with all necessary rules, regulations, standards, and laws.
- Ability to evaluate, recommend, learn, and implement new technology solution
- CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Server+ or equivalent preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals preferred
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or equivalent preferred
- Advanced diagnostic and problem-solving skills preferred
- Ability to develop technical standards, project documentation, and policies preferred
