Position Responsibilities:
The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology is seeking an hourly lab specialist to perform behavioral experiments in laboratory rodents. Prepare and manage test solutions using sterile techniques. Handle rodents, give injections and observe behavior. Operate experimental equipment, record data and complete spreadsheets in Excel.
Required Qualifications:
Must be dependable and attentive to detail. Must be able to work on the weekends and some week days and have flexibility to do so. Must be able to work in a diverse environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer B.S. degree in biology, chemistry, psychology or related discipline or current college student majoring in one of these disciplines.
This is a restricted position with no set end date and continued employment is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance.
