Job Description

The Perry Place Housekeeping Supervisor oversees staff, maintains housekeeping standards, and resolves personnel issues under the guidance of the Food Production Manager. Duties include scheduling tasks, managing hazardous materials, training staff, and assisting with departmental operations. Ensuring a safe working environment and compliance with regulations are key responsibilities. Ensures a clean, sanitary and safe environment for staff and guest. Acts as a liaison between management and housekeeping workers and reports directly to the Food Production Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Experience supervising housekeeping personnel.
• Previous experience with and comprehensive knowledge of commercial/industrial cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment; and of OSHA and other applicable safety and health policies and procedures.
• Skill in the use of commercial cleaning equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for interaction with employees, subordinates, students, and visitors at a large university dining hall.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer experience with Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• High School graduation or equivalent.
