HVAC Instructor (NCCER Certified)

Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. This position will teach NCCER Core, HVAC Levels 1 and 2 courses in Workforce Development. The HVAC Instructor delivers comprehensive training to students on both major and minor HVAC repairs and installations. They emphasize proper tool and equipment usage, safety protocols, and shop procedures. Additionally, the instructor oversees program inventories, ensures adequate supplies and equipment availability, develops instructional materials, and maintains the efficient operation of the HVAC lab.

While formal certifications are important, we also highly value hands-on trade experience and the ability to obtain NCCER instructor credentials for HVAC levels 1 and 2.
