Nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, Blue Ridge Community College (BRCC) has been equipping students, alumni, and employees with the knowledge and experience to transform themselves, the community, and the world for over 55 years. The College’s comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees and certificates in occupational/technical and college/university transfer programs. Non-credit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals, business, and industry are also offered. BRCC is seeking an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Mathematics to teach lower level and developmental math courses. This is an in-person position. Teaching responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, developmental math, quantitative reasoning, and pre-calculus. In addition to teaching, responsibilities for all faculty include academic advising; service to students, the college, and/or community organizations; participation in scholarly and professional activities; mentoring adjunct faculty within the discipline; development and support of courses and programs; community service; and institutional service. Teaching assignments may include a combination of day and evening classes at one or more locations served by the College.

This is a full-time, 9-Month, 24-pay, Teaching Faculty position with full state benefits. Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Mathematics or a Master’s degree in Math Education with at least 18 graduate semester hours specifically in Mathematics. Requires a demonstrated dedication to teaching, an understanding of the community college mission and environment, and a commitment to the use of instructional technology.
Additional Considerations:

Community college or university teaching experience is helpful, but not required.
