Neuropsychologist

The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia seeks doctoral neuropsychology applicants for an open rank faculty position. The incumbent will devote a majority of effort to clinical responsibilities for persons with neurological illness and neurodegenerative diseases in the Memory and Aging Care and Movement Disorders Clinics. The selected candidate will also dedicate effort to scholarship, training and contribute to an active, clinical trials research program in dementia. The successful applicant should enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team and aid in the training of postdoctoral fellows in our APPCN fellowship program.

Qualifications

Candidates must have earned a PhD in Psychology or a PsyD and be licensed or license-eligible in Virginia by the start date of the appointment. Strong consideration will be given to individuals who are board certified in clinical neuropsychology through ABPP or who are in the process of becoming boarded. While primarily clinical, a demonstrated commitment to teaching and research excellence is desired.
