Job Duties
1. Teach an on-campus undergraduate course entitled “Principles of Geography”,
2. Engage in exemplary face-to-face and use the university’s learning management system
(Blackboard Ultra).
3. Collegially engage with students, staff, and other faculty members.
4. Meet university deadlines for submitting grades and other reports.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must possess a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Geography or Geographical Sciences with at
least 18 c.h. hours in Geography.
2. Demonstrate a strong potential to effectively teach Geography.
3. Demonstrate potential to effectively use an online learning management system.
(Blackboard Ultra or similar).
4. Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching.
5. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personal integrity, and a
demonstrated commitment to diversity.
Additional Considerations
1. Experience teaching Geography courses in higher education.
2. Possess a PhD in Geography.
