This opportunity is based at our Charlottesville Office, located in Virginia’s Piedmont region, stretching from the Blue Ridge Mountains east toward Richmond. Culpeper District is responsible for 10,465 lane-miles of state-maintained roads, 1,700 bridges, and large culverts in the counties of Albemarle, Culpeper, Fauquier, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock. The City of Charlottesville is also within the district, although they maintain their roads, the district works closely with the city. Culpeper District has two of the state’s interstate highways, I-64 in Albemarle and Louisa counties, and I-66 in Fauquier County, traversing the district from east to west. Additionally, one of the state’s three major north-south corridors, U.S. 29, runs through the center of Culpeper District.
