Job Duties

Purpose of Position: This role involves developing and implementing programs and initiatives to increase awareness and understanding regarding current laws and public health trends related to cannabis. This position will build strong relationships with partners, organize outreach events, and serve as a key support for our mission to educate the public and stakeholders about cannabis.

Outreach & Engagement

  • Develop and execute outreach programs tailored to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Plan, organize, and lead community outreach events, such as informational sessions, webinars, roundtables, and workshops to increase awareness of cannabis laws, policies, and public health outcomes.
  • Distribute educational materials to support outreach efforts.
  • Promote best practices in cannabis education and share insights from research to improve program implementation.
  • Coordinate with other state agencies and stakeholders for outreach, resource development, and data sharing.  
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach strategies with CCA goals and values.


Evaluation & Reporting

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach programs and initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist with identifying gaps, challenges and opportunities for improvement for future educational strategies and outreach efforts.


Communication & Collaboration

  • Monitor participant attendance tracking, overseeing participant feedback surveys.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other government agencies, educational institutions, public health organizations, and community groups to foster effective cannabis public health strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for outreach inquiries.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to develop and execute outreach programs tailored to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.
• Experience planning, organizing, and leading community outreach events, such as informational sessions, webinars, roundtables, and workshops to increase awareness of cannabis laws, policies, and public health outcomes.
• Ability to coordinate with other state agencies and stakeholders for outreach, resource development, and data sharing.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams to align outreach strategies with CCA goals and values.
• Strong written, oral, and presentation skills

Additional Considerations

• Project Management experience, capability to manage multiple outreach initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience in logistics, scheduling, and vendor management for outreach events.
