Physical Therapist - Peri-op Services at OCIR

Seeking a skilled and collaborative Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at UVA’s Orthopedic Center Ivy Road (OCIR). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing service line providing same-day peri-operative physical therapy to patients undergoing a variety of orthopedic surgeries. This Physical Therapist will play a key role in the pre- and post-operative care of patients, focusing on functional mobility, patient education, safety, and discharge planning. Candidate should be open to alternative staffing models given physical therapy services offered 8AM-8PM Monday thru Friday. Opportunities to participate programmatic growth and teaching Total Joint Class.

• Performs physical therapy examinations according to professional standards and departmental policy
• Demonstrates knowledge of intervention options and executes a program of skilled physical therapy intervention.
• Actively participates in professional growth of self and others.
• Actively participates in quality improvement and program development.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
  

Position Compensation Range: $73,444.80 - $117,520.00 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
Experience: 6 months relevant experience
Licensure: Licensed to practice in Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
