Job Duties

Chief Objective:
The Office of the Attorney General is seeking a Regulated Product Enforcement Program Manager within the Programs Divisions of the Office of the Attorney General. This role will work closely with the RPEU Unit Manager within the Consumer Protection Section. The RPEU Program Manager will help lead and coordinate the Office’s regulated products enforcement initiatives by developing the programmatic, educational, and outreach elements to complement the corresponding legal and regulatory work. The Program manager will develop collaborative strategies with internal OAG divisions, external agencies, businesses, and community stakeholders to enhance compliance, increase public awareness, address emerging threats, as it relates to liquid nicotine products (vapes), THC and hemp-derived products, kratom, and other emerging intoxicants.

Work Tasks and Duties:
• Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of statewide education and outreach plan as part of the regulated products enforcement initiative in consultation with the RPEU unit manager.
• Support statewide public education and awareness efforts related to regulated products, including youth prevention messaging and consumer education.
• Work with the RPEU unit manager to develop and maintain partnerships with the business community to promote regulatory compliance through education, outreach, and technical assistance.
• Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including state and local government agencies, law enforcement, public health organizations, industry representatives, educational institutions, and community organizations.
• Promote information sharing across internal and external partners.
• Monitor emerging trends, products, and threats affecting the regulated products marketplace, including evolving vape product technologies, synthetic nicotine products, and other emerging regulated substances.
• Represent the Office at conferences, stakeholder meetings, legislative workgroups, and public outreach events.
• Prepare reports, presentations, briefing materials, and correspondence for executive leadership.
• Coordinate educational materials, compliance resources, and outreach campaigns for regulated businesses and the public.
• Collaborate with communications staff to ensure consistent messaging regarding regulated products enforcement and public safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive progressive leadership experience in program management, grants management, community outreach, public administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple high-impact programs simultaneously.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align organizational priorities with community and stakeholder needs.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership, attorneys, legislators, government agencies, law enforcement, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership, public officials, community organizations, and diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to build collaborative partnerships and foster productive working relationships across agencies, organizations, and communities.

Additional Considerations

Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, law or closely related field; master’s degree preferred.
