Job Duties

Full-time w/State Benefits Must be available to work the 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. shift Southeastern Virginia Training Center is seeking a Residential Manager/QIDP to support the facility’s mission by chairing Personal Support Team (PST) meetings for each assigned individual that results in a person-centered array of supports that address the individual’s safety, happiness and development. The incumbent will coordinate the implementation of the designed Individual Support Plan by (PST) members and outside providers to ensure quality of supports, compliance with established facility policies and procedures, and the probability of positive outcomes. Monitor PST documentation quality for adherence to Medicaid licensure and other State and DBHDS regulatory standards. Serve as Administrator on Duty (AOD) for Residential Homes as assigned. • Prepares PST pre-meeting information at least 1 2 weeks prior to each annual PST and distributes to PST members for review and comments. • Facilitates PST discussions that result in a comprehensive Individual Support Plan (ISP) with prioritized desired outcomes and pertinent supports. • Follows established Statewide Person-Centered Planning initiatives regarding quality ISP development. Ensures last year’s outcomes are reviewed. Incorporates proper focus, integration, and support content for upcoming year’s ISPs. • Ensures assessments are completed annually and as needed, and adequate environmental supports and assistive devices are available for each assigned individual. • Aware of concerns related to care or program delivery. • Ensures compliance with Medicaid, licensure and other State and DBHDS regulations regarding support delivery through active treatment observations, ISP development and support delivery. • Assesses the implementation of quality support delivery as outlined in each individual’s ISP and report any concerns to the Assistant Director of Residential Services to resolve conflict. • Conducts ISP Reviews on assigned individuals every other month or quarterly and submits copies to the his/her Department Head. Electronically submits ISP Review Reports and POC lists. • Completes ISP Reviews for an assigned home during the same month with 100% completeness between the 10th and end of the month. • Reports any late or unacceptable staffing reports per facility policy with copies to his/her Department Head. • Attends regularly scheduled meetings with Support Partners and personal support team members to discuss assigned individuals ongoing and participate in action plans as scheduled. • Completes assignments on a daily basis without continuous supervision. • Monitors provision of adequate individual care through regular observation of support delivery and review of available documentation for progress and program revision

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in human services field (including, but not limited to: Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology)
2. Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and dually diagnosed disabilities.
3 Supervisory experience. Supervisory experience includes evaluating staff, training staff, disciplinary actions, hiring and terminating staff. Supervisory experience working at the Director level
4. Must have Valid Driver’s License.
5. Previous experience working within an ICF and/or working directly with an ICF in an evaluative, consultative, and/or auditing role.
6. Previous experience developing and managing schedules, managing and controlling overtime costs within provided budget.
7. Previous experience developing initiatives, strategic plans, and goals within a department/division.
8. Previous experience in adult day activity, vocational training, supervision, Department of Labor Regulations, Time Studies Methods, Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Access.
9. Successful completion of ability to complete preservice training class, including completion of medication course, CPR, first aid, TherOps certification and state approved behavior interaction procedures.

Additional Considerations

Master’s degree in relevant Human Services field.
QIDP experience.
