Typical Duties

To serve as an Information Desk shift supervisor and assist the Residential Life & Housing Coordinator of Desk Operations with daily oversight of the operations of information desks.
Enforce policy and procedures among employees
Responsible for the management of staff at residence hall locations.
Train, supervise, and evaluate all hourly undergraduate and graduate Desk Assistant staff.
Collaborate with university staff during crises; respond to emergencies to support students and housing operations during weather-related or scheduled university closures, campus-wide disruptions, health concerns, pandemics, etc.
Assist in managing the administrative functions of residence hall information desks across campus, including staff scheduling.
Provide leadership in promoting an atmosphere within the residential community that fosters responsible decision-making among the Desk Assistants.
Shifts range from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. to Midnight for five shifts per week (including weekends).
