Up to a $25,000 Bonus for Registered Nurses that are new to state service and remain with the facility for 2 years.
$15,000 sign on bonus will be awarded to new hires to state service and paid in a lump sum after 90 days with a one-year written agreement required.
An additional $10,000 retention bonus will be paid out one year after hire date and require an additional one-year written agreement.
Competitive salaries: RN II-Starting Pay from $79,572 and increases to commensurate with experience, education, and credentials. Total compensation including paid time off and benefits begins at $120,408 for this role.

Piedmont Geriatric Hospital (PGH) is seeking dedicated, experienced Registered Nurse Professionals. A Registered Nurse II at PGH is responsible for providing advanced nursing care for patients with psychiatric disorders in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as nursing standards and regulations. Registered Nurses are also responsible safely implementing the use of Seclusion/Restraints including knowledge of physical/emotional risk factors of the patients served at the facility. Positions are available for all shifts. This position may be eligible or required to work overtime.

Minimum Qualifications
-Experience working as a Registered Nurse.
-Successfully complete BLS, Therapeutic Options (TO) and other required training upon employment at facility.
-Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills, team focused care and professional approach.
-Displays the ability to plan, implement and evaluate care utilizing knowledge of pharmacology, psychiatric and physical disorders, and cultural needs of the individual psychiatric patient.
-Presents good clinical knowledge and resource to staff.
-Experience/Ability to delegate, supervise, evaluate nursing processes to help solve complex problems.
-Current, Registered Nurse licensed to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or license eligible; multi-state compact endorsement is accepted.
Additional Considerations
-Experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric, healthcare facility, acute care, long-term or correctional setting.
-Veterans and people with National Service.
-Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
