Job Duties

Conduct database checks and compile results to respond to requests for security clearance approval in a timely, efficient manner. Complete reports and projects relating to security clearances. Be aware of and proactive in ensuring a strong internal controlled environment to ensure that potential risks are reduced or communicated to management, and ensure data and reports are accurate and reliable.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of research and analysis techniques. Ability to effectively collect, analyze, summarize, interpret, and communicate information and technical data orally and in writing. General knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to apply critical thinking to diverse information sets and to produce logic-based analysis and recommendations on security clearance applications. Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and complete files, manage multiple priorities, and follow oral and written instructions. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and representatives of other agencies and organizations. Ability to deal effectively with the general public.

Must have a valid driver's license; ability to obtain VCIN certification. Must be able to work weekends and holidays as necessary. 

Additional Considerations

Graduation from an accredited college or university with applicable coursework in social science, government, business, criminal justice or related field, and/or analytical experience to include criminal analytical trainings. Public safety experience or other broad scope government experience.
