Looking for a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design, develop, and execute test plans to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. You'll work closely with software developer engineers, and algorithm engineers throughout the software development lifecycle to catch issues early and help ship high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks (UI, API, and regression testing)
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and verify bug fixes
  • Participate in requirement reviews, design, and planning meetings to provide QA input early
  • Apply and wear continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and other on-body sensors as part of manual testing to validate device functionality, data accuracy, and user experience.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and load testing as needed
  • Set up and maintain test environments and test data
  • Analyze test results, generate metrics, and report on test coverage and release readiness
  • Create documents that capture test operations and report results to the software team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and best practices
  • Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in software testing / quality assurance.
  • Experience writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience testing cross-platform, native mobile applications (iOS/Android/Flutter-frameworks) and cloud server applications.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Experience working with automation servers used to build, test, and deploy software (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with developing/testing cross platform mobile applications using Flutter.
  • Experience with mobile automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest) and database querying (SQL) for backend/data validation testing.
  • Prior experience or comfort wearing CGMs or other on-body/wearable medical devices as part of hands-on product testing.
  • Prior experience in a clinical, lab, or research setting
  • Familiarity with wearable devices, medical devices, or IoT sensors


The anticipated hiring range is $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and subject to internal equity, market review, job profile alignment, and applicable approvals.

This position will remain open until filled. This is an exempt level, benefited position. The University will perform background checks on all hires (if required) prior to employment.
