General Information:

The Dean's Office in the College of Health and Behavioral Studies is seeking a Student Assistant. This position is 10-15 hours per week beginning work in August 2024 and ending in May 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties include greeting guests, faculty, staff and students in the reception area of the main office suite as needed. Answering multi-line phone system, record keeping, filing, copying and data entry using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access). Running errands as needed. Complete projects assigned by the Administrative Staff, Dean or Associate Deans. Confidentiality with handling documents and information is required. Must be dependable, responsible, and professional at all times.

Qualifications:

Written and oral communication skills and customer service skills is required. MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PPT) is preferred. Work schedule will be in 2-3 hour blocks of time, Monday - Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Conditions of Employment:  

Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).

Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
