Summer Spirits Internship Program 2025

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Authority is proud to offer a Summer Spirits Internship Program. This program is a paid, full-time opportunity that takes place in the Headquarters offices located in Mechanicsville, Virginia from May to August.

A successful candidate for the internship will be a rising junior and/or senior with related college or high school majors relating to participating ABC divisions. The selected individuals will assist with projects for the duration of the internship. Currently, we are seeking applicants to help support our Information Technology Division this summer.

To be considered for internship, the following minimum qualifications must be met:

• Applications must be received through the Virginia ABC website.
• Educational focus or majoring in at least one (1) of the divisions listed above.
• An unofficial transcript will be requested for verification.
• Can communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Selected interns will receive a wage of $18-$20/hour and expected to be available for a standard 40-hour work week. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday. Please note, lodging will not be provided.
