Hiring Range: Commensurate with Experience, Up To $110,000

Job Duties

• Design, implement, and support enterprise-wide server infrastructure, including physical and virtual environments
• Manage and optimize operating systems and related applications
• Configure and maintain network infrastructure components and services
• Implement and maintain data backup, recovery, and business continuity solutions
• Troubleshoot complex system and network issues to maintain high availability
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement security controls and address vulnerabilities
• Create and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and capabilities
• Support the migration of appropriate workloads to cloud-based platforms

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration or engineering roles
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and infrastructure
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Additional Considerations

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience
• Master's degree in related technical field
• Professional certifications (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA, AWS, Azure)
• Experience working in government or public sector environments
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and migration strategies
• Experience with monitoring solutions and performance optimization
