Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is seeking a Testing Placement Specialist to aid in providing a consistent testing procedures through the secure, efficient, and equitable administration of academic, admissions, and standardized testing services that promote student success, uphold academic integrity, and align with institutional, state, and national standards.

The Specialist is responsible for assisting in providing a comprehensive array of testing services, including curriculum placement exams, health professions admissions testing, accommodated testing under ADA guidelines, make-up exams, contracted assessments, and professional proctoring services.

Serving as a central liaison among students, faculty, staff, and external testing partners, the Specialist fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible testing environment that meets the diverse needs of the college community. By ensuring the consistent application of best practices, maintaining a clean and honorable testing environment, and supporting data-informed decision-making, this role advances the college’s mission of equitable access, instructional excellence, and institutional accountability.

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office or comparable software suites
• Strong working knowledge of Google platforms (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, etc.)

• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with others
• Demonstrated ability to follow and interpret policies and procedures

• Working knowledge of education software programs and tools related to testing services
• Prior experience working in a college testing services environment
