Transplant Nephrologist

The Division of Nephrology at the University of Virginia is seeking a full-time Transplant Nephrologist to join our renal team in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is an open rank, tenure ineligible, position. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications. The incumbent will be responsible for providing pre and post kidney transplant care to patients on the inpatient and outpatient services. The candidate will actively participate in the in-patient teaching program with Nephrology fellows, medical house staff and medical students.

Our kidney care is nationally recognized by U.S. News & World Report, which rated our kidney failure services “high-performing,” their highest rating.

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and be sub-specialty board-certified or board-eligible in Nephrology by appointment start date, possess outstanding clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills, and training from top-rated institutions.

This position will remain open until filled. This is an Exempt level, benefited position. This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance.
