The JMU Personal Responsibility Education Innovative Strategies (JMUPREIS) program at the Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services at James Madison University seeks a full-time Enrollment and Engagement Specialist to recruit youth to participate in a hybrid sexual and mental health education program with youth in the foster care system across the state of Virginia. This is a grant-funded position. SexEdVA aims to ensure that young people across Virginia have access to sexual health information that is evidence-based, and medically accurate to make informed decisions regarding their health. SexEdVA seeks to advance health and education by addressing social determinants of health through programming for youth and quality training for the adults who work with them. The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) works across the university and around the world to advance global learning, international education, study abroad, international student and scholar support, partnerships, and other programs that connect JMU with people and organizations globally. Our work involves a wide range of funding sources, international and domestic vendors, travel, events, student and faculty programming, and financial processes that may require flexibility, careful problem-solving, and coordination across multiple university offices. CGE is seeking a part-time Finance Support Specialist to provide day-to-day fiscal and administrative support across the Center. Working closely with the Finance Manager and the Operations team, this position serves as a central resource for routine financial processing, reconciliations, purchasing, travel and reimbursements, financial records, and related fiscal activities. The Finance Support Specialist helps ensure financial processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with university and state requirements while supporting the unique needs of a global and internationally focused office. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial information and systems, enjoys helping colleagues navigate business processes, and is willing to learn and problem-solve when standard processes do not always fit neatly with international activities.
