Job Description:
Adjunct instructors will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in art history. Current areas in need include non-Western art, modern art, contemporary art, museum studies, and minority studies. Other opportunities may exist, depending on the department’s scheduling and the instructor’s area of expertise. Courses may be taught in person or online.
Minimum Qualifications:

All faculty must have at least a Master’s degree in the field/discipline in which they are teaching with 18 hours of course work related to the course(s) being taught. In some cases, subject to the approval by the Provost, a faculty member may be recommended for appointment based on substitution of significant experience for the degree.
Additional Considerations:

Ph.D. in art history with some teaching experience at the college level. Experience as a graduate teaching assistant may be acceptable.
