Department: Public Administration Master’s Program
The Public Administration Master’s Program in the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs Program is recruiting a pool of applicants for the Spring 2026 semester and onward for possible adjunct teaching positions. The pool will be accessed as openings arise and the Program will contact persons in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs.
Duties:
Teaching courses as needed.
Ability to successfully teach both in-person and online.
Must grade all assignments and exams in a timely manner.
Ability to consistently respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
Ability to submit final grades according to school and university policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree and experience in public administration, public policy, or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience teaching courses at a graduate-level. Advanced knowledge and experience in the areas of public administration or public policy.
Salary Range: $1,437 per credit ($4,311 for a 3-credit course).
