Job Description:

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for a Recreation and Outdoor Leadership adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, and Luray-Page County Center as needed.

Please note: applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC.

Compensation and Benefits:
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty: The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.

Telework

According to DHRM policy 1.61 Teleworking, effective July 5, 2022, Virginia state employees will return to the workplace. Consistent with pre-pandemic policies, telework may be an option for certain eligible positions. • Masters degree with a minimum of 18 grad credit hours in Education from a regionally accredited institution with demonstrated competency in the teaching field.

• Occupational experience in recreation or related field.
