Job Duties

Serves as Administrative Staff Assistance to the Regional Operations Chief. Provides administrative support for the Region Operations Chief ensuring that the recording, typing, distributing, scanning and/or filing of correspondence is handled in an appropriate manner. Prepares various required quarterly/monthly/weekly reports are submitted in a timely manner. Serves as backup-up to the Executive Secretary Senior positions and Regional Operations Officer in handling correspondence and telephone calls.

Minimum Qualifications

Proficiency in collecting data and preparing routine and statistical reports. Experience maintaining executive level/management calendar, coordinate, and function as lead Administrative Support position in the Regional Office. Recent experience using computer software to include all Microsoft Office applications with extensive knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Recent experience performing administrative duties to include excellent verbal/oral and written communication, compositing correspondence, taking minutes, and comprehending oral and written communications. Experience providing quality customer service to internal & external customers. Experience working with DOC policies and procedure. Experience handling confidential data and information.

Additional Considerations

Advanced knowledge, training, certification, or coursework in administrative management. Experience leading and directing other administrative staff. Extensive experience in Corrections
