Job Duties

To provide effective re-entry services in collaboration with internal and external partners to include various departments within the facility, community corrections, local re-entry councils, other community services, the Inmate population, Inmate family members, and other correctional agencies

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of principles and practices of counseling, of casework and treatment methods, of behavior modification and Inmate restoration rehabilitation. Demonstrated ability to counsel and interact with inmates to develop, implement, and follow through on treatment plans and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Knowledge of word application certification. Knowledge of Virginia Adult Reentry Initiative.

Additional Considerations

Experience in counseling, rehabilitation, or casework management.
