Job Duties

Under the authority of the Health Authority, the position is responsible for cleaning all areas of the medical unit and medical inmate cells. Performs routine cleaning practices according to procedure outlined in the infection control and environmental policies. Supports the daily operation of the medical unit by performing routine tasks as needed and assigned under supervision.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Knowledge of environmental services.

Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.

Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Ability to successfully carry out instructions with limited supervision.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.

Working irregular hours including call hours during emergent situations

Additional Considerations

Experience working in a Corrections environment

Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor cleaners.

Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner.

Position requires light to moderate work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry.
