Job Description:
General Description:
This role will be responsible for hosting Diagnostic Medical Sonography open scan labs at the NVCC Medical Education Campus in Springfield, VA at least 3 evenings per week, and on Saturdays, to provide students with additional opportunities to practice and develop their scanning skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and assisting students
  • Creating and managing a sign-up schedule for students
  • Managing and providing lab supplies and inventory (order details)
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the DMS lab.
  • Other duties may be included as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

KSA's Requirements:
  • Knowledge of sonography
  • Ability to assist students with conducting various ultrasound exams
  • Ability to operate ultrasound equipment.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to work multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work and contribute as a member of a team

Minimum Work Requirements:
  • Must be a registered sonographer in one or more modalities including Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Vascular and Echo.
  • Experience in sonography

  • Registered in multiple modalities
  • Teaching and/or training experience
  • Carrying a sonography credential through ARDMS
