Finance Specialist - Asset Management

Applies principles of accounting and financial planning to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.

  • Manages all assets within the Medical Center and ensures capitalization procedures are followed with respect to procurement budget and accounting principles.
  • Performs financial analysis of capital assets to evaluate performance, identify trends, and inform decision-making
  • Prepares detailed reports on depreciations, maintenance costs, etc.
  • Assists in development and management of budgets for capital asset acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Ensures compliance with GASB and internal policies related to capital asset management
  • Works closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to support effective capital asset management strategies
  • Coordinates with project teams to ensure CIP is accurately recorded and placed into service timely.
  • Coordinate physical inventory procedures.
  • Prepares and maintains procedures for managing Fixed Assets.
  • Performs other area-specific activities.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $24.72 - $39.55 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 3 years’ experience in financial analysis, asset management, or a related role.
Licensure: None required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Hybrid modality.
