Job Description:
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Grants Fiscal Technician Senior provides specialized financial administrative support for the management and monitoring of grants. This position ensures the fiscal responsibility and accountability over the use of college funds. Assists in the accounting of grant programs in accordance with applicable regulations for Federal, State and private grants by processing daily transactions, recording information and reconciling data for reporting and organization of all data. Provides the financial guidance, controls, procurement and other support services in a professional, courteous and service oriented manner.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze transactions for conformity with procedures, policies and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work in numerical data and to make arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately.
  • Must have a strong knowledge in spreadsheet development and maintenance; strong familiarity of office procedures and automated systems.
  • Strong skills in reconciling data from various sources.
  • Acumen to research questionable accounting revenue and expense items and following to conclusion.
  • Must have excellent Excel skills and in using Microsoft Outlook .
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to present information effectively.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others;
