Job Duties

NVMHI has an exciting new opportunity for team member to work for Day shift in our housekeeping department performing as Team Leader full time with benefits to Function as a Working Supervisor, inspect work of Housekeeping Workers to ensure
cleanliness standards are met. Make recommendation to Supervisor and Director on all Housekeeping Issues. Train new employees in proper cleaning methods and floor care. Continuously monitors Safety Practices. Assist in maintaining cleaning program to ensure the Institute is always in compliance with JCAHO and DOJ standards as well as the standards of any other inspection program. The successful candidate must have the ability to lift, stoop, bend, pull, push, reach, and stand for an extended period of time, have knowledge of cleaning methods and tools, capable of following oral and written instructions, and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of NVMHI staff.


Perform other duties as assigned.

Day Shift Hours: 06:30 am to 3:15 pm with alternating weekends!

Minimum Qualifications

. Ability to lift, stoop, bend, pull, push, reach and stand for extended period of time.

. Knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning supplies and equipment.

. Ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks.

. Ability to follow oral instructions.

Additional Considerations

Working knowledge of cleaning methods, chemical, and equipment
• Demonstrate ability to lead work of others
• Ability to move and lift heavy objects
• Ability to communicate well with others
• Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculation
• Knowledge of floor and carpet care including stripping/waxing, buffing and extract/shampoo carpets.
Prior experience in stripping, waxing, and buffing floors and extracting/shampooing carpets.
