Job Duties:

The Facility Services Department of WWRC is currently seeking two individuals to serve as housekeepers. The incumbent in this position will perform work in support of the Wilson Workforce and Rehabilitation Center (WWRC) campus facilities and provide a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for clients, visitors, and staff. This position performs various housekeeping tasks ranging from, but not limited to, removing trash; cleaning all types of floors, carpets, and stairs by scrubbing, sweeping, stripping, waxing, sealing, wet or dry mopping, or vacuuming to maintain cleanliness; cleaning student/staff lounges, rooms, bathrooms, and offices; cleaning light fixtures and equipment; assisting the grounds department when needed; and pressure washing sidewalks and surfaces. Take inventory and order supplies for cleaning, and initiate work orders for corrective action needed when found during cleaning.

Knowledge/Experience:

Knowledge of cleaning techniques and practices, and the use of cleaning supplies and equipment

Skills/Abilities:

Physical ability to perform reasonably strenuous housekeeping tasks such as lifting, bending, reaching, and squatting is required.

Ability to understand and follow oral or written instructions, and to work effectively with diverse customers.
