Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma
  • Applicants must have current/active Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) Basic Law Enforcement (BLE) certification, to include successful completion of DCJS-approved field training or be able to obtain Virginia certification with 12 months of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license with clear driving record.

Experience:
  • Previous experience as a law enforcement officer.

Additional Considerations:

Education:
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Graduate of law enforcement leadership training course or workshop.

Experience:
  • Law enforcement experience in an institution of higher education.
  • Previous experience in supervision and/or program oversight.
  • Previous experience in criminal investigations.
