Design and execute experiments independently. Perform highly complex molecular and tissue based assays. Facilitate collaborations with other labs that benefit our research. Monitor interactions with suppliers and negotiate discounts for the lab. Monitor lab safety inspections/lab ordering and purchasing/reconciliation of budgets.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree.

Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a Laboratory Specialist or any related occupation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position can spend extensive periods of time standing and squatting while conducting experiments or caring for animals. Also requires keyboarding and other bench work and animal procedures requiring finer finger manipulation.
