Job Duties

The NSU Department of Nursing and Allied Health, centrally located on NSU’s main campus in the state-of-the-art Nursing and General Education Building, invites applicants for a full-time Office Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant will provide services that ensure a fair, equitable, and quality working and learning environments for all employees and members of the university community. The individual in this position serves as the receptionist and customer service specialist within the department, serves as the administrative assistant to the Program Director, and assists faculty and staff in other daily operations. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Chair of the Department of Nursing and Allied Health and collaborates closely with the Office Business Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

1. 1-3 years of work experience in an office administrative capacity, education in office management science, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
2. Experience with technology, computer software, and hardware, including PC and Mac platforms, MS Office, and the ability to learn new technology and software programs quickly.

Additional Considerations

1. 3+ years of work experience in an office administrative capacity
2. Prior work experience in an academic setting as an Administrative Specialist II or III.
