Job Duties

This position provides assistance to the Security Operations Manager and its assigned units both administratively and as a reviewer and conveyor of important data. Serve as a vital link to the initiation of assignments and priorities and ensures appropriate preparation of responses. This position is responsible for managing incoming requests and information, coordinating and monitoring workflow, and maintaining inventories related to vehicle logs and weapons inventory and tracking. Provides clerical support to include budgeting, purchasing, and TMS as needed. Advises supervisor of problems and interfaces regularly with various levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Detailed knowledge of business office practices. Experience in administrative support duties, workflow analysis, project management, and policy interpretation. Comprehensive knowledge of office practices and procedures. Working knowledge of administrative responsibilities and familiarity with DOC agency policy, procedure and operating protocols. Demonstrated computer skills including ability to draft correspondence, proofread for quality assurance, develop spreadsheets, presentations and create extensive tracking systems to support operations. Knowledge of eVA and purchasing protocols. Demonstrated ability to communicate with department executives and others, and to manage office activities

Additional Considerations

Advanced knowledge in Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent applicable experience or training. Experience with office equipment to include a multi-line telephone system. Corrections or law enforcement experience beneficial. Notary commission beneficial but not required. Previous experience supervising others.
