Job Duties

Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients – Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter – provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia’s Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units.
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Part Time RN Weekend Supervisor is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care for our veteran residents. The RN Weekend Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the quality of services and monitoring and supervising the direct care staff in the performance of their duties. The position hours 11PM-7AM.

Job Duties include:
• Ensure that continuous quality care is provided along with the implementation, maintenance and evaluation of policies, programs and services is consistent with regulatory standards.
• Responsible for the management and supervision of staff and for maintaining sound organizational relationships with staff within the facility, residents and families.
• Responsible for the coordination of nursing services during tour of duty and for ensuring residents receive optimum quality of care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in VA.
• 1 Year prior supervisor or management experience.

Additional Considerations

• Nursing experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.
