The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Pharmacy Systems Administrator in the Office of The Chief Medical Officer.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
The main objective of this position is to work closely with and oversee the Agency’s pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) day-to-day activities. Additionally, this position will manage all aspects of the PBM’s contract; ensure that all services delivered by the PBM are in accordance with the contract and are administered efficiently, effectively and congruently with the Agency’s expectations.
This position also assures the compliance of contract deliverables, federal/state laws and regulations and Virginia Medicaid policies. In addition, this position is responsible for oversight of the PBM's drug rebate program.
The Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP) is a program that includes Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS), state Medicaid agencies, and participating drug. This position will also work with inter- and intra-Agency personnel on all issues related to the delivery of pharmacy services for Medicaid members and providers.
This position will also need to have project management skills in order to implement programs and systems.

Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:
Experience with contract implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Experience with project management.
Knowledge of the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program (MDRP) and associated CMS requirements.
Experience of program development/planning/implementation.
Experience using and implementing healthcare systems and software.
Experience interpreting and applying healthcare related federal and state laws/regulations.
Experience in meeting deadlines and implementing time management strategies.
Experience working internal/external stakeholders.
